Comprehensive basic course covering all types of water craft, safety equipment, Coast Guard requirements, Aids to Navigation.  A passing grade on the exam leads to issuance of Washington State Boater Education Card.

If you join ABCSJI after the class, you get 18 months for price of 12.  

Price for members of ABC or SJIYC is $25.  Discount will be applied on checkout.

This class will be offered in person at the San Juan Islands Yacht Club and live on Zoom.  Recordings of sessions will be available if you must miss a class.  Saturday's session will be 9AM - 4PM, and on Sunday it will be 1PM - 3PM.

Congratulations on choosing to become a member of America’s Boating Club of the San Juan Islands, the Friday Harbor Power Squadron ®️.  Your membership entitles you to discounts on our educational offerings as well as at other businesses, and plenty of on the water fun and social engagement. 

The Single Member fee of $111, and the Family Membership fee of $156.50 includes a one time processing fee of $20.  The Family Membership includes you and all family members you register.

When you click “Register” you will be taken to an enrollment form to enter information about yourself and about any family member you are registering.  If you have registered for our classes through this website in the past, much of your information is already in the system.  If not, you’ll be asked to set up an account.  The system will walk you through each of the persons entered when you select "Checkout".

For a single membership, select that option under Membership Type.  If you choose a Family Membership, select that option as the Membership type for the first person.  For each additional family member, select “Member of Family” for membership type.  This will result in the correct pricing for each membership.  You will need to create an account for each person in CourseStorm (this platform) as part of this process.
